French and German Private Tuition 

If your child is struggling with French or German and requires more support, whether they need help to prepare for an exam or are keen to excel in languages, Anna's Language Lab can help. We offer French and German private tuition for children from primary age up to GCSE level. Lessons are tailored to meet your child's requirements. We also work with adult learners who wish to learn French and German from scratch or simply brush up on their existing knowledge.

GCSE French and German Tuition for Exams in 2026 & 2027

Taking French or German GCSEs in 2026 or 2027? Get ahead and start preparing now! We can help prepare your child for all elements of the French or German GCSE exam including speaking, writing, reading and listening. We also provide coaching on grammar aspects as well as revision strategies and exam technique for all the main exam boards. We provide our French and German GCSE students with a wide range of quality resources to ensure they have all the tools they require for success.  GCSE sessions last 1 hour. After-School French & German Lessons - KS1/2

Whether it is to support learning in school or to simply learn some useful phrases for on holiday, at Anna's Language Lab in Knaphill, Woking, we aim to give children a real taster of the French or German language as well as the country itself. Above all, we want our lessons to be enjoyable and varied which is why each lesson includes traditional teaching, games and craft activities as well as the use of technology to practise the topics learned each week. In line with the National Curriculum, the children also learn about the country's rich culture and heritage, for example learning about traditions, festivals, famous people, places and buildings. Lessons follow themes and topics include:

• All About Me

• My Family

• Pets

• The Weather

• Food

• Numbers

• Colours

• Hobbies

Beginner French lessons are ideal for pupils aged between 6 and 9 years old. 

Beginner German lessons are suited to children in Years 4-6 who would like to get a head start in their German studies before secondary school as well as having lots of fun learning a new language.

Lessons for home educated children

We can provide regular French or German lessons during the day for home educated children on a one-to-one-basis or in small groups from primary age through to the end of KS3. We teach a variety of courses from topic-based schemes of work to more traditional courses and also offer one-off 'themed' lessons which have a cultural focus and can be booked on an ad hoc basic. Topics for these lessons currently include:
